{"id":59028,"date":"2022-10-31T17:14:28","date_gmt":"2022-10-31T17:14:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/we-bc.ca\/?post_type=online_resources&#038;p=59028"},"modified":"2025-04-24T18:31:55","modified_gmt":"2025-04-24T18:31:55","slug":"employment-standards-bc","status":"publish","type":"online_resources","link":"https:\/\/we-bc.ca\/fr\/online_resources\/employment-standards-bc\/","title":{"rendered":"Employment Standards and Workplace Safety"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>From the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/employment-business\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Province of BC<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you\u2019re an employee or an employer, it\u2019s important to understand employment standards and to know where to go if you need help or advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/employment-business\/employment-standards-advice\/employment-standards\">Employment Standards Branch<\/a>\u00a0administers the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/employment-business\/employment-standards-advice\/employment-standards\/forms-resources\/igm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Employment Standards Act &amp; Regulation<\/a>, which ensures that employees in B.C. receive at least basic compensation and conditions of employment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bcest.bc.ca\/\">Employment Standards Tribunal<\/a>&nbsp;can hear appeals on decisions made with regards to the Employment Standards Act.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.worksafebc.com\/default.asp\">WorkSafeB<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.worksafebc.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">C<\/a>\u00a0works with affected employees that suffer from a work-related injury or disease with return-to-work rehabilitation, compensation, health care benefits and other services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcat.bc.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Workers\u2019 Compensation Appeal Tribunal<\/a>&nbsp;hears appeals regarding decisions made by WorkSafeBC on compensation, rehabilitation and occupational health and safety.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/employment-business\/employers\/employers-advisers-office\">Employers&rsquo; Advisers Office<\/a>&nbsp;provides advice and assistance to employers regarding workplace safety.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lrb.bc.ca\/\">The BC Labour Relations Board<\/a>&nbsp;mediates and adjudicates employment and labour relations matters related to unionized workplaces.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From the Province of BC Whether you\u2019re an employee or an employer, it\u2019s important to understand employment standards and to know where to go if you need help or advice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"resource_type":[646],"resource_category":[1657,623],"resource_tags":[853,719,1819],"class_list":["post-59028","online_resources","type-online_resources","status-publish","hentry","resource_type-link","resource_category-developper-votre-entreprise","resource_category-hr","resource_tags-hiring","resource_tags-hr","resource_tags-payroll"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
