Laurel Douglas, CEO of Women’s Enterprise Centre (WEC), has been included in the new book Canada 150 Women: Conversations with Leaders, Champions, and Luminaries, which profiles 150 ground-breaking Canadian females.
She is in good company, featured among such Canadian role models as Lisa LaFlamme, Kim Campbell, and Hayley Wickenheiser. She is also joined by the Board Chair of Women’s Enterprise Centre, Jill Earthy.
Asked about being featured in the book, Douglas says, “I am honoured to be included in this significant volume of trail-blazing women. As women, our natural instinct is often to diminish our accomplishments out of modesty, but it is important to highlight strong women and give them a place to tell their compelling stories. I am delighted to be among this list of women, which includes some of my own mentors and champions.”
The book, available at Canada150Women.com, features powerful portraits by world-renowned Canadian photojournalist Farah Nosh, whose award-winning work has been on the cover of Time magazine.
