This FREE virtual BIZCamp aims to support and empower female-led businesses across Canada, specifically focusing on contributing to the Green Economy.
The main objectives of these sessions are support for female entrepreneurs by providing them with specialized knowledge and resources to contribute to the green economy through sustainable development practices, fostering a supportive network and mentorship opportunities for women entrepreneurs.
All women entrepreneurs (BIPOC, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQIA+, Francophone, and other underrepresented groups) looking to understand the Green Economy and interested in greening their operations and businesses no matter what sector, services, or products they are providing, can take action to reduce their footprint now.
Green Economy – What does it mean?
When a business efficiently implements sustainable business practices. For example, greening the supply chain can reduce environmental and social footprint by buying products from suppliers who have shown strong commitments to sustainability, by purchasing products made from recycled materials, and by sourcing ingredients locally. Reducing food, water and energy waste, fertilizer management, reducing the use of fertilizer and irrigation, using biodegradable packaging, etc.
The deadline to apply is midnight August 19, 2024.
This program starts September 5, 2024 and runs through to October 10, 2024 (6 weeks in length).
