Entrepreneur Resources Coordinator

Permanent Full-Time | 37.5 hours/5 days per week | Kelowna office

WeBC is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs across British Columbia. Since 1995, we have provided business loans, expertise, training, and resources to help women start, grow, or buy businesses. We believe in a holistic approach, getting to know the women behind the business so we can connect them with the right networks, capital, and resources to help their businesses thrive. We collaborate with over 50 unique partners each year and reach over 160 communities across the province.

About the Position

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Entrepreneur Resources Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for women seeking support for their business ownership journey. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for entrepreneurship and a desire to learn about and share resources, including those offered by WeBC and external organizations. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of women entrepreneurs and contribute to the growth and prosperity of communities across British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to Inquiries: Serve as the primary point of contact for women seeking support by phone or email. Review incoming requests to assess and understand the nature of the inquiry, and provide information, guidance, and referrals.
  • Resource Connection: Connect women with the right resources, services, and support available through WeBC and its network of partners.
  • Stay Informed: Continuously seek out information to learn and stay current with the programs and services offered by WeBC and other service providers to provide accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Professional Communication: Maintain a high standard of communication, ensuring responses are timely, professional, and helpful.

Qualifications

  • Passion for Entrepreneurship: Demonstrated passion for entrepreneurship supported by formal education in business, entrepreneurship, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with entrepreneurs and stakeholders.
  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer service or a similar role is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Resources and Services: Familiarity with the ecosystem of support for entrepreneurs in British Columbia, including government programs and other service providers.
  • Technology Proficiency: Skilled in using Microsoft Office suite, and experience with CRM software is desirable.
  • Work Style: Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
